"educational models" (translation of "sistemi educativi")

Hi there,
I have to translate the Italian "sistemi educativi" into English. I thought about "educational models" but I'm not sure it's a clear and effective translation. How do you say in english the way people educate children. In a school for example, the scheme, the system, the model that teachers follow to plan their activities to educate children.
