Hi,

We've started adding a number of new features that will help our users keep track of the tests they have taken and the kind of progress they have been making. It would be great if you could take a look at this progress report page.

How much information do you think we need to add so our users will understand those stats?

Many thanks,
Torsten

Dear Mr.Torsten I did all vocabulary and preparation TOEIC tests.
Where are the other tests I must do to reach Mr. Joao Fonseca results?
According to your rating I am now 26th in top 100 list.

Hi Torsten: I´m no happy with my score, I consider myself a regular student, I mean, most of the times I get 1/1 or 7-8/10 and in my progress report I have 51% in my progress, and I have few correct answers. Can you explain me why? I don´t understand and I disagree with that. many thanks.

Dear Nikolay,

Many thanks for your question. In order to reach Mr. Joao Fonseca's position you need to answer at least 40000 questions more. Mr. Joao Fonseca completes a number of tests every day while you seem to have quit on December 8.

So I hope you'll resume your online English training soon.
Merry Christmas,
Torsten

Hi Lourdes,

When you take a look at your progress report again you will see that out of 2004 questions you answered 661 correctly. That's why you progress is only around 50%.

The only way to get it up is again is for you to answer more questions correctly.

Hope this helps.
Merry Christmas,
Torsten

Dear Torsten,
Thanks so much for your congratulation as well as your progress report today. However I thinks that your congratulation on my learning successes is not really exact, :-), maybe congratulation for completion all the first 30 of your online English tests is more correct, here. Because my results are so bad that disappointed me right after checking score. hic.....the results make me feel worry about my English. Of course, that is my own knowledge which I should further attempt to practice more and more to improve my English. No way is better than practice step by step, right?

you can see my progress report, so could you give me helpful advices to improve my English or some practical hints to reach basic English a.s.p?

Many thanks for all!

Hi Dieu Chau,

Thanks a lot for your positive feedback. Here is just another piece of advice: The word 'advice' is uncountable so the phrase 'helpful advices' does not exist. As for improving your Engish, you need to read and follow these instructions: How to learn English? (30/30 Challenge)

Best regards,
Torsten

Mistake in test 24 question seven #86 (permalink) Mon Jan 04, 2010 12:58 pm   Mistake in test 24 question seven

Hello Torsten
There is a mistake in test 24 (elementary) question seven.
It seems that answers b) and c) are interchanged.
I answer c) but it appears that I had answered b)

Hi Alfwm,

Many thanks for your feedback. Can you please do me a favor and use the 'Click Here for Explanation' links when you have a question on a specific sentence? I take it you are referring to the following question which shows the correct answer here: meaning of "There is no guessing"

Dear Alfwm

You take this test question:
http://www.english-test.net/esl/learn/english/grammar/ei030/esl-test.php#responses_question_seven

I. You click on an option "C" (this is an incorrect answer!)

II. You click on "check your score"

III. You get your results: C is incorrect, B is correct

Please tell me what is the problem with this test?

Many thanks
