| Yeah, I can say so. We eat boiled white rice as staple food, with some side dishes such as Kimchi. A lot of them are spicy. Recently, we try to put less salt into the food for health. |

Oh, yes. I think we eat pork a lot. Among poultry, we eat chicken the most. One of the famous fastfoods here is "yangnyum chicken" (translated into "spicy chicken", you can see the pictures at see here. For seafood, roasted or spicy mackerel and hairtails are our favoirtes. |

that looks absolutely delicious!
And now I'd like to share with you a simplified/paraphrased rendition of chicken paprikash I saw on YouTube today:
- Dice an onion and cook it in some oil in a large saucepan - Add maybe a pound of cubed chicken breast - Immediately after adding the chicken, add a good coating of paprika - Cook the chicken mostly through, stirring occasionally - Add more paprika and stir for another minute or two - Add an entire container of sour cream (mid-sized container, about 20 fluid oz or 0.6 L) - Add even (yes) MORE paprika... another heavy coating - Mix well - Simmer for 30-60 minutes (until it reaches your desired consistency) - While the chicken/onion/sour cream/paprika mixture is simmering, cook enough noodles for two - Serve the chicken paprikash mixture over the noodles and enjoy
According to the person who demonstrated the recipe, it is an authentic Hungarian recipe devised by one of his Hungarian ancestors.
I can't verify that but he seemed like a nice enough fella, and the dish looked incredibly rich and meaty, and the sauce was a sort of dark orange/red color.
I know I'm going to try it.
(he prepared it with veal instead of the more classically used chicken... but he said it would work with chicken (of course) or even beef... so I'll substitute chicken. _________________ Billie Jean is not my lover. Hee. |

For that video, simply go to YouTube and search for "cooking Hungarian paprikash".
