If I was dying, realistically, I don't think I would have the appetite, I think. But while in the last moment that I am still strong enough to eat, I think it would be lovely to eat my mother's cooking.
And I suppose I would also want to eat some of the forbidden food.  |

I absolutely hate hummus, tabuleh and any of those really garlicky Arabic foods. I don't even like to be in the same house where they've been eaten.
I like most of their stuffed dishes, like stuffed grape leaves (dolma), stuffed zucchini, etc., but I can't bring myself to try pacha, which is stuffed lamb stomach. It looks disgusting. |

Chicago style (deep, with the sauce on top)

My vote is for Chicago-stylle deepdish. It is so rich and filling, and you can actually taste the sauce... which IMO is an asset.
