TOEFL® essay: Not everything that is learned is contained in book

" Not every thing that is learned is contained in books". Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with the knowledge from books. In your openion, Which source is more important? why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Every people learns new things in every step of his life. Sometime by reading books and sometime by self experience. Many things in the world cannot be expressed in words.They can be learned by your everyday experience.

To begin with, We use books to read and learn new things but only book cannot fullfill our desire and intrest to explore new things. They only help us to understand new ideas and new concepts . As for example the book teaches us fire is hot, it burns and don't touch the fire but we don't know what is hot ? How does it feel? Unless we touch the fire we couldn't understant it and to touch the fire is our experience that we can't find in book.

Furthermore, there are so many thing inside us that we haven't learned from book but from our daily experience. Like, speaking, That we learned by practicing it not by reading it in book. Sometimes while cooking we make new food item by just mixing some ingredients that we have never mix before, this is only possible by our experience beacuse we know that which food taste good while mixing with other.

SurgeOn cann't open any part of body alone for the first time only on the basis of his theoritical knowledge. He needs help from experienced surgeOn who have done same case for saveral times. At first he do only few steps of surgery and he tries to complete alone, letter he try to do fast and finally he try to explore new methode for the same surgery. This is only possible by his knowledge from his experience not by his knowledge from the book.

Last but not least, those peeople who never been to school may have more life experience and can live better than those very educated person. Learning by doing is the better method of learning than learning by reading.

In conclusion, learning from book is limited task on the other hand learning from your daIly experience is ongoing process. So from my everyday experience and observation i I can say that not every thing that is learned is contained in books.
