I am going to take TOEFL® on September 28th...

Hey everybody!

I am going to take TOEFL on this Sunday, so I would like to get know, if anybody is going to take it this week as well?

I am taking it in Russia. I have already passed it in May with a score of 85. That's a good score, but I am sure I can do way better. Firstly I started preparing using Longman's program, but after the May test, I decided to change my strategy and go on with the latest edition of Barron and some stuff from Kaplan.

So if anybody has advice to give or seeks for advice, take part!

P.S. To those, who have already taken TOEFL this month, could you please share with your experience?

I took toefl this saturday and I've prepared with LONGMAN'S BOOK&CD.My personal opinion,you should change your preparation material.Because,while Im testing,especially reading and listening sections I realised that exam lectures are really really different.I mean,if you compare them,Longman is nothing.( this is my personal opinion.You agree or not.) I was doing really good scores in listening.It was my favourite part but in test I got dissapoinment.

In a nutshell, Im looking forward to score reports.If I failed,I will take it again but Im going to start preparation with KAPLAN.It's more difficult than others.If u do that,the exam piece of cake

As I stated, I already took TOEFL using Longman and I got 85.

Since then I'v been preparing for about five months to take TOEFL again and I am using Barron and some stuff from Kaplan, that are very beneficial.

BTW, did you have long Listening or Reading? Was there a lot of scientific material? And, where did you take it?

I planned to take Toefl and can u give me your valuable guidance abt preparation bcos i dont have idea abt preparation.i thought of buying barrons new edition.tell me step by step for preparing.

Yup, I'm also taking my TOEFL exam on the 28th of this month; for the first time. I haven't been able to prepare much, but hopefully I can get through it. Good luck!
