Hi,

Please have a look at this:

Quote:
Donor:
a person who gives some of their blood or a part of their body to help someone who is ill:

=> Then what about a person who does not give, but sell their blood, or a part of their body? Can they also be called a 'donor', or 'seller'? :P

Yes, it's still referred to as 'donation' even when you receive payment.

I lost count of the liters of plasma I 'donated' when in college, for cash. :)
