Difference between 'weather forecast' and 'weather report' #61 (permalink) Fri May 28, 2010 18:23 pm   Difference between 'weather forecast' and 'weather report'

Hi Vipin,

You seem to have that the wrong way round:

'Weather forecast' is a prediction of what will happen in the future.
'Weather report' is an analysis of what the weather has been/is like, and the report may also include an element of a forecast.
