. A thesis is an initial statement of the writer's idea, opinion or approach to a topic; an introduction presents the topic to the reader. In an essay, the thesis is usually the culmination of the introduction. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

. Sure, 'MM' is fine. Such nicknames quickly develop on the internet. I mean a combination of both of these definitions:
Culminate 1--To reach the highest point or degree; climax 2-- To come to completion; end . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |

Hello Mister Micawber, As you said, "The thesis is usually the culmination of the introduction" & "It is the initial statement of the introduction" So, Should we use the thesis statement at the beginning or in the end of the introduction in the essay writing?

. I wrote 'A thesis is an initial statement of the writer's idea', NOT '..of the writer's essay/introduction'.
The thesis statement often comes near the end of the introduction, but needn't. . _________________ Native English teacher at Mister Micawber's |
