Welcome to the site.
If it makes you feel any better, I can't understand Scots either, because I'm American. Sometimes if I drink a lot of beer, then I can understand them better.
As for rain and lack of sun, I think that's pretty much the British Isles in general, no? So, once you perfect your English you can talk about the rain, or maybe talk about the rain, or even discuss the rain and fog.
Come to think of it, it really doesn't matter how much English you learn. You'll still only be able to talk about the rain, in Scotland.  _________________ Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.
