Hi Nessie
The only thing that comes to mind is "the high scorer". . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |

But there can be many high scorers, right? So what can the one whose scores is highest?
Many thanks, Nessie. _________________ :(... something we never have again, I know... I guess I really really know.. :(

Hi Nessie
I would interpret "the high scorer" to be one person -- the person with the highest score. The word "the" is important. If you used "a" instead, then I would understand "a high scorer" to simply be one of a number of people with a high score.
If I wanted to refer to the (group of) people with the highest scores, then I might say "the high scorers". Of course, I could also say "the people with the highest scores". . _________________ "Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." ~ Abraham Lincoln |
