Progress report #47 (permalink) Thu Apr 30, 2009 7:29 am   Progress report

This morning I received the progress report in which the number of answars and correct answers was finally updated. Howewer, the mean time per test, which used to be less than two minutes, is now reported as being 13 minutes and more. There should definitively be some mistake in the calculation !!
Regards.

Hi Roberto,

When you were doing one of the tests ( http://www.english-test.net/esl/learn/english/grammar/ii009/esl-test.php ) you obviously left your computer idle for quite a long time. The system calculated that time and as a result it took you longer than 55 hours to complete the tests. This explains why your average time per test is more than 13 minutes. We'll be adjusting our system to filter out such instances.

Many thanks for keeping us up to date.
Regards,
Torsten

Grammar Test - Help #52 (permalink) Wed Aug 05, 2009 22:54 pm   Grammar Test - Help

Hello,

I need help to understand the pregress report better.
Whenever I check my progress report after having taken a grammar test, there's always an indication of "Incompleted" status. What do I need to do to get a "Complete" status?

Thank you,
Joycelyn

Also, please check my wording for any correction(s).

The word 'incomplete' describes the test category. Here is a description of all the test categories on our site: Test Formats

Please, let me know if you have any further questions.
Many thanks,
Torsten

Hi Torsten ,
I have been joining you for 6 months and thank you so much It's really help me a lot .
But here I have a question about progress report ,
I did my vocabulary and grammer test two weeks ago , my last report was ;
1510 - 1304 ( correct answer ) 88,01 % , but how come my report increased to
2508 - 1442 ( correct answer ) after I did audio test ? I still remembered the
audio test it's only 400 questions and I haven't finished yet . I stopped because I
saw my score keep dropping . Although I repeat the grammar test it's doesn't work .
I'm glad to hear from you soon .
Best regards ,
Lugina's .

I have complained about this matter many times. Audio questions makes progress report crazy. I was expecting someone else complain about the same matter to complain again.
Perhaps Mr Torsten now put atention to these complains

Hi to the wonderful team of English-test .net

Each time I get into your site It is with a real pleasure that I read the course, do the exercises, and the test.

Your site is the best one of the best to learn english. Even if I am not satisfay of my current english, I know that It is by the grace of your team that I have got this current level which is not so bad. I can express and understand more.

The matter I am face to is that I am short on time to jamp on my computer.
I am going to reolve this fact just in the way of making myself benefit from your help.

Best regard

My own progress report? #57 (permalink) Fri Nov 13, 2009 12:48 pm   My own progress report?

dear Torsten,
i admire your web site a lot for helping me in learning English. but i have an inquiry:-
while i was revise my progress, i noticed that the number of answer question jumps by big numbers than i answer in real for example when i answer for 50 questions when i am being at 6000 answered questions, the progress reports that i had answered give me that i had answered 6200 questions instead of adding only 50 questions that i had answered in that session. for more information and trying to solve this problem, my account at your site is mgali. i hope to receive answer to this strange thing i had discerned.

My own progress report? #58 (permalink) Fri Nov 13, 2009 20:12 pm   My own progress report?

Hi Mr. Torsten

I have the same problem as Mgali, Alfwm and Lugina's. After taking some audio tests, my progress report is also dramaticly changed. After only one wrong answer, the progress percentage is lowered from %92 to %58.

By the way, I am a new user of this website but I like it really much. Even in 2 days, I am feeling that I could improve my listening capabilities and the progress report part is also great. It is really very usefull to control ourselves.

Thanks a lot.
