Hi Torsten
I've had Open Office for quite a while, but have only used it occasionally. What do you like better about it? . |

Well, on my laptop I have Microsoft Office 2007 and the new Word version is rather bad. For example, it doesn't format text properly, it came with the default settings adjusted for Hebrew and it the auto save function is difficult to handle.
Also, navigation is rather awkward. OOO Writer seems to be much more user friendly and functional. _________________ Test Of English for International Communication TOEIC Preparation & TOEIC Vocabulary |

Hi,
a rather big fortune "Open Office" makes for its users is the opportunity of changing O.O.-files files straight into PDF files. It works pretty good.
Also, as far as I know, the user has the opportunity to open a huge number of files from different other forms. Does MS-Word supply that much forms? I don´t think so.
What I were interested in is to learn how well known Open Office is in the world. Would be nice to read some information about this issue.
Regards

There's also a portable (flash drive) version of OO. If you tend to move around, and don't want to leave file traces on other people's pcs, it can be quite useful.
