Topic: By punishing murderers with the death penalty, society is also guilt of committing murder. Therefore, life in prison is a better punishment for murderers.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

By the way killing an innocent person, a murderer will be punished by society. Society has a right to put him into prison or kill him by the death penalty. It completely depends on particular society’s thinking and country’s sentiment. Nowadays, punishing murderers with the death penalty become less and less popular because of some following reasons.

Firstly, taking the death penalty to the murderer is the same action like the murderer did with his victim. In other words, society is trying to make the same thing like the murderer without against. That thing maybe help the victim’s family and friend become better but, in general, society also know that the victim has gone and never come back. Putting the murderer into death does not help anymore and probably suffering some people still alive such as his wife and his babies.

Secondly, when we stand in the murderers’ foot, it’s obviously that death is easiest way for them to solve everything. They do not have time to regret their action and so, they do not have any responsibility for that. On the other hand, society has to pay a lot of money for one death penalty’s case. In recently research, we have to spend around 2 million dollars per case including 15 to 20 years waiting for the case carries out. Thus, life in prison is maybe a good solution when we consider every angle.

In conclusion, I suppose that we can not change everything in the past so that we should make the better things and forward to the future. Punishing murderers with the death penalty is perhaps good in many countries but, in personally, I choose the life in prison for the murderers.
