I'd like to know when to use the get or got.. like

tell me word or example like this:

get up
did you get it?

something like that..

I'd be very grateful..

Hi Ashly,

You are referring to the use of phrasal verbs. For example, to get up means to get out of bed. Now, look at this sentence:

I usually get up at 6 o'clock but today is Saturday and I got up only at about 9.
