Dear Torsten Daerr and Alan Townend,
In the first essay I found a difficult sentence of which the understanding caused me problems. At the end I am writing this sentence.
I enjoyed the both text you wrote. These texts gave me an occasion to see clearly among the words: sorry /adj/ sorry /Interjection/, fell/be sorry for so /idiom/ fell sorry about sth.,excuse /n/ to excuse /v/ pardon /v/ apologetic /adj/ to apologize, apology /n/
Now I understand the differences among them and I hope I can use them correctly.
Mr. Torsten your writing is very interesting. I feel myself in the Macbeth. But I have to disclose that in Hungary also there are people who eats the crow. They say it is good, chiefly the crow soup. I don't know though I am not choosy but I can't finish off a crow. I don't know what can be a business lunch now in Europe but I am sure they aren't pie in the sky. I don't envy either them or us.
The sentence of which the understanding I am not sure: " That wouldn't do at all although I can guarantee that you ears won't be assailed by one of them, either." - I understand that it is humorous but I couldn't translate. Can I give some explanation? Thank you.
Best regards: Kati Svaby |

Hi Alan
It's a nice story . But I think I need to read this once again to understand ( After your explanation of certain sentences) . I am so convinced about effectiveness of english learning thru this forum that without wasting a moment , I have subscribed for grammer book of stories recommended by you .
I still face a lot of problem in writing GOOD ENGLISH . Hope this book will help me to overcome my hesitation to write grammatical correct english.

Respected Love,Torsten sir, i am very happy to see you on Lession through words. you are magician? no!!! you are artist, you are piano player too.? I know a simple word "SORRY" has no mean sometimes. it would be courteous to use "I Bag your....or i apologize sir, etc... Generally people are Habitual to use Thanks and sorry with Yes and No too, Consequently its human nature to follow your surrounding people's pattern in speakingEnglish mostly. Moreover to concluding phreses and new terms of sentences draw magical impression and fun too.
I shaw you well with closed eyes while my soul sketch down your face in my mind. In harmony of words, we are making many types of fun as simple to serious. Its very popular action to tease other person, as words change other's WORLD''. Like my ' sorry' presume you to write very fancy and long but knowledgeble Lession.
I am sending my lods of Bestowards and Exchange heartly Great feelings as your Personal Attention. Generally my hands UP= TO GIVE SOMETHING........HELPLESS BOTH ARE...at our words Travel,.....missing you a lot when your tip knock down at my steps when do mistake... with LOVE AND regards. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Alans story--------------- oh! its very unique verity of language with different phrases and style and use of words. i will answer properly for that later. hope to hear very soon sir, o.k. Hi!
I want to ask that how do you say to someone when they have a glass of drink, you are not there but also wish to have a glass with them. "Have a glass (instead) for me?" Thanks!

"Have a glass for me." "Have a drink for me" "Have one for me." (Even in this last one, the meaning is generally understood.) _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
