Question about spending: Money on an SAT prep review course. Mon Apr 25, 2005 21:51 pm  Question about spending: Money on an SAT prep review course.

money on an SAT prep review course. My son is an extremely hard worker in a college prep jesuit high school . He has about an 85 avg which he works for. He has never tested well on the PSAT or the new SAT; is it worth $1,000 to take a Kaplan or Princeton review or not? Some people go up alot, some a little, and some none....
also what is the best one out there?
thanks

Dear evanlewis,

You say that your son is a highly motivated learner so it certainly will pay off if you invest some money into a decent review course.

Question about spending Sat Jun 24, 2006 21:04 pm  Question about spending

A lot of bad scores are due to bad test-taking strategies, not to lack knowledge. Kaplan courses, and similar ones, teach these strategies.
