Dear all I'm not American or Canadian, therefore I don't have access to the latest books or courses for GRE which probably exists in those countries. I've merely prepared Barron's,kaplan, 2 work books for verbal section & few more material from the net. I know it may sounds ridiculous for you, but non of my friends do not even thinking about preparation for GRE, namely entry to American universities,so I'm rather stressful about it & thank goodness that at last I've found this forum to ask for your help. I'm rather confused about the analytical section. When I was preparing for IELTS,my instructors told me use synonyms or as much as adverbs & adjectives I could in my sentences to 1) show that I know many vocabs & 2)to increase the number of my words in order to reach 250. Now in kaplan I found things are exactly different, as it says I should avoid redundant vocab, modifier, sentences, expression or what ever I used to expressed my power in writing. My second question is regarding the topic of the essays, some of them are REALLY too meaningless for me, I mean I don't comprehend their meaning, what they ask me to write, especially in Issus part where it only represent in one sentence.Besides, when I read the sample essays in Kaplan,I found them a bit high level according to both style & analytical reasons or examples.Should I be on the same level to get 6 or at least 5.5 for my writing part. As I mentioned previously there is a shortage in my country market for GRE materials, ALSO I can not order book on internet, so please just introduce me any USEFUL website or lead me by your own knowledge & experience. Thanks a LOT! |
