I've never heard of "grabbing somebody down" - can you give the context in which you heard it.
Context would be helpful for both of these. The second sounds like you doubt the person is the size he says he is. |

Dear Barb D: The first phrase is from song of Danny Saucedo: Warm and cold You grab me down, you lift me with your magic New and old I know your way but I don't understand it Steel and stone A thousand years of history and future Gold and cone A lazy beam's creating this illusion
The second expression is from song of Robbie Williams: Oh it seemed forever stopped today All the lonely hearts in London Caught a plane and flew away And all the best women are married All the handsome men are gay You feel deprived
Yeah are you questioning your size? Is there a tumour in your humour, Are there bags under your eyes? Do you leave dents where you sit, Are you getting on a bit? Will you survive You must survive
Can you/somebody else tell me more/some of these two expressions/phrase? |

Hi Saneta,
'Grab' is another word for 'snatch' or 'get hold of quickly' or 'grasp quickly'. What it means in your quotation is difficult to know. I can only suggest: 'Pull me down' could indicate that you depress me/make me feel miserable. But I am only guessing! 'Question' when used as a verb suggests 'doubt' or 'query' indicating that you don't believe something - here how big you are. The trouble with these 'lyrics' is that they often have a double meaning and can be related to all sorts of ideas and innuendo.
That's the best I can manage, I'm afraid.
