hello.
why is the following sentence right: 'A work of fiction, it has at its
heart this fact...' but 'As a work of fiction, it has at its
heart this fact...' not?
thanks.

Hi Spdazero

'A work of fiction, it has at its heart this fact...' ==> This means 'It is a work of fiction, and it has at its heart this fact...'

'As a work of fiction, it has at its heart this fact...' ==> This suggests 'Because it is a work of fiction, it has at its heart this fact...'
