Difficulty in using the words "until/till" #1 (permalink) Wed Oct 29, 2008 8:03 am   Difficulty in using the words "until/till"

Hi Folks,

Sometimes I face difficulty in using the words “Until/Till” and I just want your help to explain it further to me. I wrote the below two sentences and I do not know which one is correct in terms of grammar.

“” Please continue doing the work until I comeback to you”
Or
“Please continue doing the work till I comeback to you”

Thanks for the help.

Hi Nibras,

Welcome to english-test.net and many thanks for your question. There is little or no difference between till and until. In most cases, 'till' is a bit less formal than 'until'. For more information, please read till vs. until and let me know what you think.

Best regards,
Torsten

Hi Torsten,

Many thanks for the help. Finally I go it. It is a matter of when you can use them whether it is formal or informal.

Expect more question to come
