Hey,

A couple of questions again:

What is it called when one repairs a flat tire? Is there any special term used in this type of situation?

What is it termed when you don't observe another's rights?

What is the proper term for the following situation:
"Your son's got a bad grade at school and you know about that, but you pretend not to know anything."

1) Usually, you CHANGE a flat tire by putting the spare tire on. I would have to bring the tire to a repair shop to see if it can be repaired or if it has to be replaced.

2) I don't have a good word for your second question. Can you be more specific? Describe a situation?

3) You deny knowing anything about it.

Depending on the context, not observing people's rights could be anything from ignoring or denying these rights to abusing or violating them.

Pretending not to notice something wrong or ignoring it is also called 'turning a blind eye (to it)'.
