You can use the word when to talk about events in the past, the present and the future. In the sentence you are referring to when describes an action that happens on a regular basis:
He needs to be more careful when he is driving his car.

Hi: I suggest everyone in this forum should make an effort to use formal language.If everyone is agree we should say "you" instead of "u". What do you think about ? Regards |

Good morning Frank. You are quite correct. Every effort is made by the Moderators to dissuade people from using slang and chat-room language, but their pleas fall on deaf ears.
If people seriously want to learn, then they should use only formal English at all times when posting on the Forum, but I fear this will never happen, sad to say.
