Hi. A couple of hours ago i took the GRE for the second time. The fist time i had scored 1140 (670Q 470V) but i had prepared very well for this one. I was going to score 1300 and my preparation tests indicated that i would. But things didn't turn out as i expected. I scored 540V and 630Q. During the Verbal part i found the readings to be extremely difficult.Have you ever just been unable to fully concetrate to the passage? That happened. And it happened on the wrong day. I guess i didn't get any points from the reading part. Probably exactly the opposite happened. What really upsets me is that 4 hours before the test i tried a Powerprep test and scored 650V. Plus all the other tests gave me about the same score. Moreover, i just don't have the strenght to give GRE once more. It's consuming. Let it be 1170. Could anyone please suggest some graduate schools for a PhD in political science with the score that i got? I know that GRE is not the only factor for admissions but if it was where would be a good place to apply? PS i am an international student (Greek). Do they tend to show some kind of clemency at bad scores(especially verbal)
Thank you and good luck to those preparing. |
