I'm now doing English excercises, and very confused with which word--will or would
--to choose in this sentence, because the answer is ‘will’ ,although my grammar book says that the tense in a sentence should be the same, like ‘I told him that a group (would) give a concert’.

Does anybody have a good explanation or good suggestion about it? I'm very, very confused.

I think like this:

I just HAVE heard - that a group WILL give a concert.
I just ---- heard - that a group WOULD give a concert.

HAVE + heard = WILL
(Simple Past Tense) Heard = Would
