Hi,
I do like to know the usage of 'far'.
Does it have the same meaning in contexts given below.

1.far better
2.far fechable

The adverb 'far' can mean 'a long way away' or 'not near'.

In your first example, 'far' has the meaning of 'much': far better = much better.

As to your second example, I think you meant the adjective 'far-fetched', which has the sense of 'difficult to believe', as in 'a far-fetched story'.
