Progress is always good. According to me, it is true and I agree with this statement entirely. Without progress, there would be no change in science and technology, economy and no change in medicine. And then there is no change in our life.
First of all, no doubt, the development of science and technology influence our lives significantly. The developments such as internet, mobile phones, cars, planes, televisions, and computers and so on are very useful for us. For example internet, nowadays, is the most important and integral thing of our life. Communication through internet is the fastest, cheapest, and the most convenient way. And in my opinion, internet itself changes our lives. Another example is plane. It is the fastest transport. You can see that you can leave Paris at 11 am in the morning and arrive in New York at 8 am the same morning in time for a day’s work. It is really useful, isn’t it?
Secondly, in the economy, progress in this field is bringing a lot of benefit for us. Many economic theories were built. Rely on these theories, economists and businessmen or we could produce more and more goods and services with high economic effect. We become richer and our life is improved obviously.
Finally, the development in medicine is actually good for people. Many diseases which we had to give up before but nowadays they are can be treated entirely so many fatal disease patients could be cured. Many hospitals, consulting – rooms with better and rich in experience doctors are built for us to select. So we can say that, our health is cared better. And our life span is longer and longer.
Because of some above reasons, I can assert that progress is always good. Without progress, our life couldn’t change and we have a difficult life forever. It is only my opinion, you agree with me, don’t you? |
