Relation vs relatonship #2 (permalink) Thu Nov 06, 2008 10:16 am   Relation vs relatonship

Hi,

'Relation' can be used to describe a ,member of a family as in aunts, uncles, cousins and so on and in an abstract way it can be used to mean 'connection' as in: The relation between the climate and the way in which plants grow. 'Relationship is also used to suggest 'connection' but in a more positive way because it also refers to the interaction between two things or people as in the relationship between two countries.
