Hi Houssem,
They're completely different, and measure completely unrelated skills.
TOEIC is the Test of English for International Communication. It's a test of a person's ability to speak English in an international workplace environment. In other words, it measures your ability to produce English that can be understood by both native and non-native English speakers.
GRE is the Graduate Record Exam. It's a test people for students who are wanting to enter into graduate school. It measures verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing skills. Basically, it measures the extent to which undergraduate education has developed a student's verbal and quantitative skills in abstract thinking.
It is created for native English speakers, and non-native speakers will be at a distinct disadvantage. The verbal section is very challenging, even for native speakers.
Somewhat similar to the TOEIC is the TOEFL, or Test of English as a Foreign Language. It's similar to the TOEIC in that it's a test of English speaking ability, but it's designed to measure the English proficiency required for University admissions. Instead of testing English that would be used in a International business situation, it's a test of English used in college level educational programs, so the expectations for a successful score are different than the TOEIC, since they for different situations. _________________ Plan to be spontaneous tomorrow.
