For the time being means at the present time but not for always. _________________ English as a Second Language You can read my ESL story Present Simple |

Hello teacher,
What is the meaning of the sentence "We are not living here for good." Please explain it. What does the whole sentence "We are not living here for good but just for the time being" mean?
Thank you. _________________ Hoadong |

Hi Hoa,
The sentence basically means this:
We will not live here forever. We live here now, but we do not plan to live here very long. (We plan to live here only temporarily.)
