Hi, Shanthi
Thank you too for your kind words! I'll try to go to 33.
And, there is seriously: all problems can be solved using one or another way. The problem is to find the right one.
Anyway I wish you the best luck!
"Wherever you may roam
Everywhere but home"
I'm not sure there's precise citation up there.

My Dear Indiai Friends, Gupta, Vishyready and the Other Friends who were very kind towards me.

"You never evoked to me the Indian Cast system - this apostrophe to me came to my mind: Hello Teacher. The person who wrote this I told her this is hurting, but in her next letter he repeated again this form.

I saw her apostrophes in her letters, she knows how to begin a letter, except of mine.

Dear Alan Sir!
Dear Sir!
Dear Sir &Madam!
Hi Mujibur Sir!
Hi Beeeneeez Madam!
Hi+ prenom etc.etc

She uses an uncommon attention to others. But to me: Hello Teacher!
It sounds as if she said to me:Hey Teacher, / Halloo teacher - than used to tell the dogs. I didn't want to hurt India State as I know the Indian caste system used to be old time ago but now her dual style evoked to me as I was an untouchable person.

some letters from my Indian Friends:

"Hi Kathy,

Bio medical engineering meant exactly what you have written.I wonder, what a sharp and vast knowledge you have in bio-medical engineering field. I really appreciate your quest to know about certain subjects. I feel you are very inquisitive. Anyway it is not easy to deal with the subject. She has to work hard. By the way, Kathy I had happened to see some of the snaps of your garden . Oh! they are really marvellous. I felt as if I am standing in a Botanical garden. The pictures are crystal clear. How is your grand cildren? Kindly give my reagards to them.Bye for now.

Regards:
Anita"

"Hi Kati Svaby,

Thank you for your help and reply. I wrote in the earlier post incorrectly, it was " Please apologize me for intruding here". I am feeling shameful for writing like that and please excuse me, it was my mistake. I would like to hear from you, if any errors in this.

Actually it's not the rule, it only depends on the total number of the correct answers. If you go through this link ( http://www.english-test.net/progress_report/index.php ), just concentrate only the number of correct answers of each member, then you will understand.

With kind regards,
Vishwanatha Reddy"

Reddy's letter was a very great help for me. I was then a very desperate state I didn't say to him but he anticipatedd. He was student in Veterinary University.

Hi DEARu38,

I hope you have been doing good performance in English-Test-Net. When I had gone
through your progress Report I found that you have been scored 10/10 in intermediate
English, actually it was very tough for me when I attended that, I never used to get 10/10. I am really proud of your progress. Since you are native speaker of English
you will not find any difficulties. Any all the best.

Joke for you

Teacher: Alan, How do you spell Crocdile?

Alan: K-r--o-k-o-d-i-a-l

Teacher: No, that's not right

Alan: May be it's wrong you asked me how I spell it.

I hope you will enjoy my joke sir,

Thank you

Let's laugh! #367 (permalink) Mon Dec 26, 2011 6:24 am   Let's laugh!

Dear Friends,

I think we have less and less laugh today. Don't you think so? If so why don't we write about things about us and let's laugh.

True story about me.

I'm a bit self important and arrogant kind of man. I'm 6 foot and was nice looking they said. But not anymore, most of the youngsters call me as Uncle now. By the way, We use very friendly terms like uncle, brother, auntie in our society even to a complete stranger.
And the receivers do love it.

Here comes my true story. It was back around 1991. I kind of love branded things, shoes, etc., but being poor I can't afford them sometimes. Once I chanced to buy a pair of old stock Nike Air at 20 bucks in a department store, I snatched them ( they were genuine ones, still really looked good when I tried them on ). Then, I was waiting all day, I couldn't even eat well, being so itchy to go out in the evening wearing nice T shirt ,shorts and the new Nike Air normal price of which is 100 bucks plus as you know.

The evening came, my wife and I went for a stroll in our neighbourhood, I , wearing nice Nike. We went on for 15 minutes or so. Then I heard something weird from my shoes, like flap, flap, flap kind of sound. Oh dear.. outer soles of my Nike coming off. I stopped, looked around other people and pressed the soles back to their placed. And tired to walked on slowly pretending nothing had happened. Oh man, it didn't work. We had to stop again and again after two or three paces.

I was so so embarassed, and totally couldn't decide whether to take them off and walk home with Nike sock footed, or go on walking - stop - walking - stop kind of way.

Luckily, when I stopped for the last check I found out that the shoes had second inner sole layers. I was so released, looked around the environment, no cars or passers by on our way yet. Happily, I tore the outer soles off and threw damn things way out the roadside.

You know I always am smart guy? We hung around there for a while around until a bit dark. And sneaked into our own house with those damn damn sneakers.
Oh my..

Please don't hesitate to laugh.... lol....

kind regards.
Kyaw,

I have two more true story of mine to tell.

Dear Mr. Kyaw,

If you speak about the poverty I could write a novel about it full of true stories. Your story is very authentic and I can imagine its every moment with the last line when you sneaked into your own house with those damn, damn sneakers.

When I met my future husband his legs were full of sores because lack of vitamins. He was so poor that only he used to have his scholarship to buy food, paints, etc which it is necessary to paint, cloths, cleaning things etc.everything. Her beloved parents were so poor that they couldn’t give him anything. When we got married for three years our life was easier because he got a prize; this prize was for the young artists and it was a 3 years of prize and we received in every month a sum what was enough for us. After these 3 years finished, I got to know what is the poverty. Our sure income was my teacher-payment. By that time we were four because my two children had been born.

Now I don’t tell you episodes which are unforgettable only I tell you that my husband now is a recognised painter with every prize what a Hungarian painter could award, but her very moving, poor childhood never will have passed away.

I realized that he conducts himself everywhere as if he was the same poor man who used to be. Of course he wants to show himself that he is well-to-do and if his son organizes a big Christmas diner he doesn’t want to go below. He was always ashamed of their poverty and he didn’t like if I had spoken about.
The most of the people can’t recover from their childhood poverty.

I would like to be a support to him because my childhood was very safe, but I was unable to make him forget his childhood.

Kind regards:
Kati

Dear Ms. Svaby,

Thank you that you like my story. In fact I'm not a poor guy, I was born rich as a doctor's son, squandered money as a diplomat and general manger, then I'm quitting life until now to avoid bad Karma, I'm kinda inversed MIDAS , everything I touch breaks for they can't stand my inner force of belief what I've accumulated for times. So at present I quit social life. I don't want to regret of repent what I've done anymore.

I have different kind of thinking of life based on my knowledge of Buddhism. I wouldn't be ashamed of what I am, but what I'm doing and going to do to the social life. I do believe in Karma I wouldn't do things which bring bad Karma to me and others. Ego is only mirage.
If you could convince him that kind of thing he wouldn't feel ashamed of his past. Ask him which part of his body part is ashamed of, his hair, heart or eyes: where exactly the shame is dwelling , ask him. If he says eyes, which part of eye? pupil, cornea or retina is still ashamed of ? Retina, all right which part of retina, sides or centre, nerve joint? etc.. In fact, nobody really knows where shame ,pain, pride or sorrow etc., lives. For they don't exists.

If we don't have ego we don't have shame and pain.

kind regards.

>>> Please write your reply to my topic, Let's laugh!. Thanks again my lady.

Dear Mr. Kyaw,

Many thanks for your answer. So I read your story:” Here comes my true story. It was back around 1991 etc.” And I had remorse that I seem to be a person who speaks about feast when …And I had remorse also when in Christmas evening I saw - on TV -people to line up for a plate of hot soup… And the line was so long that you can’t see where is its end.

So you can proud because I believed your poverty than a Russian lady believed that Tolstoy could feel what a woman feels when she brest-feeds her baby- and told with indignation: „From where this hairy monster could know what a mother feels when she brest-feeds her baby?!”

I can say that I am not Tolstoy unfortunately and I couldn’t describe complex things so accurately. And I am not Buddhist. But,I accept : Ego is only mirage. My husband isn’t ashamed of their poverty. Only I said. –this is my mania. Because I am sad when I see him than he makes sth in a way than… I couldn’t say how. It is very incredible to see that somebody who was estimated by his teachers, classmates, other painters, and he is estimated by lot of peoples could be fallible. In this case I say to myself the poverty haunts. As my family was rich as my father was a really very good lawyer, I never had these problems.

My husband was poor but he received lot of things. Her mother was very proud of him and she believed that he gets on in life. His mother’s confidence meant lot for him. He wanted to answer her expectations. To become a good artist isn’t an easy task. To find himself and to express himself authentically. To evoke an indignation or a marvel. One says „How on earth he could paint this?” the other says: „This is marvel of marvels! „ Her mother was right, because he became a respected and loved man by the people. She couldn’t give him lot of money but she gave him credit in himself. She was a very good mother, and she knew that the most important to give self-confidence to a child.

I like when my professor shows a little humor because it allows me to loosen up a bit. When I am relaxed, I can focus, ask question and participate in the discussion. Some of the professors are very serious, and this makes me stressed, and feels unwelcome.
Thank you,
