How can we make you learn to type?

Hi, every day I see people on forums and at office desks struggling with their computer keyboard. Have you ever witnessed the agony so many people are suffering from simply because they have never gotten around to learning how to type properly? Typing is an essential skill nowadays. It's almost as important as being able to use a phone or drive a car. Computer manufactures sell millions of their devices every month without trying to educate their customers how to use the machines.

In Germany there are millions of unemployed people being trained through government funded programs. However, the vast majority of those training programs don't include a very essential and basic skill: Proper typing.

So, let's start an initiative that helps people increase their self-confidence and work efficiency. Let's learn how to type together with the BBC. They have developed a fantastic interactive tool which is free for anyone to use. Here is your first lesson: Typing Lesson 1

So, I am very well in typing, I type approximately 40 w/m.

Thanks a lot for your quick response. I can see from your forum posts that your typing skills are pretty good. I'm very glad to hear that the school is teaching its students how to type. Can you please tell me what software programs or systems you used to learn how to type?

As for my typing speed, I think there are more important criteria than just how many words I might or might not type within a minute.

Also, my initial question was how we can help all the other users learn how to type. Sharing experience and helping others can be very rewarding.
