Hi everybody, when would you use the term 'travel stipend'? I'm asking because I saw it used on a travel expense claim form of a German company that is working with native English speakers.

Many thanks,
Torsten

Stipend is a payment that is lower because other benefits are given. In your example, you could use it when a salesperson is travelling, has a car, gets petrol paid, accomodation ...etc, but then gets a small amount of payment for their time away.
