Rest assured Mon Mar 29, 2004 16:05 pm  Rest assured

I think the verb 'to rest' is intransitive so you don't use it with an object. You can use it in such idiomatic phrases as 'rest assured'.

Rest Mon Mar 29, 2004 17:42 pm  Rest

Hi Pupil,

The verb 'rest' in your sentence is to 'relax' and whereas you can relax your head, elbows, legs and so on, you can't do that with a book!
