Hi, how popular is the expression 'kudos to you' and in what situations would you use it?

Thanks,

hi Torsten

Kudos is respect for bold actions. I and my school mates used it, as well as my mates in my teens. These days I seldom hear it, but I like it as to me it suggests respecting someone for taking risk etc.

Kudos to anyone who sets up their own business, like your good self.
