Hello everyone,

In this song (When I'm gone for eminem).

I have some words in red color need to translate them:

*I don't know go play Hailie, baby, your Daddy's busy.

Hailie is a name? or its mean like baby or sweety some thing like that.

*I'll give you one underdog then you gotta swing by yourself.

*And put hands on her mother, who's a spitting image of her.

*That's Slim Shady, yeah baby, Slim Shady's crazy
Shady made me, but tonight Shady's rocka-by-baby...

*I turn around, find a gun on the ground, cock it
Put it to my brain and scream "die Shady" and pop it.

*I hear applause.

Can anyone translate to me the meaning of this lyrics, please?

Yes, Hailie is a girl's name, apparently the name of the singer's daughter.

*I'll give you one underdog then you gotta swing by yourself.

In this case, an underdog is when you're pushing somebody on a swing and you run underneath the swing seat, pushing them extra high, with your hands above your head.

Gotta= got to. So he's saying he'll give her one big push, and then she has to swing by herself, on her own.

*And put hands on her mother, who's a spitting image of her.

If somebody is the spitting image of somebody else, it just means they look exactly like them. In this case, the daughter, Hailie and her mother look exactly like each other.

*That's Slim Shady, yeah baby, Slim Shady's crazy
Shady made me, but tonight Shady's rocka-by-baby...

It's a play on the phrase 'rock-a-bye baby', a nursery rhyme sung to children. I believe he's saying that tonight Slim Shady (his alter ego) is going to go away, leave, or (as we see later on in the song) kill himself.

*I turn around, find a gun on the ground, cock it

To cock a gun it to make the gun ready to fire, so that all you have to do is pull the trigger. A gun that isn't cocked won't fire. Technically, you're raising the hammer to drop down on the firing pin.

Put it to my brain and scream "die Shady" and pop it.

To 'pop', or 'pop a cap' is slang meaning to shoot the gun. So he's saying he's going to put the gun to his head and pull the trigger, thus shooting himself in the head.

*I hear applause.

Applause is the sound made when people clap their hands. It's a sign of approval, or appreciation, usually after a performance. So, he's saying that after he shoots himself, he hears people clapping and approving.

Can anyone translate to me the meaning of this lyrics, please?

Hi Coconut,

I've made comments in blue about the lyrics above.

Basically, the song is about him telling his daughter that he's going to kill himself and leave her own her own.

One more reason I don't listen to rap...

Hope that helps.
