what are the Passive voice and Active voice? #2 (permalink) Mon Nov 24, 2008 5:14 am   what are the Passive voice and Active voice?

Active Voice:(Method)
Subject+Helping verb+Verb+object
Passive Voice(Method)
Object+H.V+VERB+OBJECT

Active Voice Example:
Hassan(subject) plucked(Verb) two flowers(Object) from garden<<<it is active voice:see the method
Hint:Past Indefinite sentence dosnt use H.V in simple sentence like above

Passive voice Example:
Two flowers(object) were(H.V) plucked(verb) by Hassan(Subject)

OR

it can also be used as

Two men were killed in Brooklyn last night (in this sentence we dont know the person who killed two men so it is passive :when we dont know the subject it is passive)

David killed two men in Brooklyn (we know the subject;David so it is active)
