Why'd you hate cats?

I meant to say "why would you hate cats?"

Under any circumstances, could what I have said been indicative of what I meant, or could what I actually said only have ever meant "why did you hate cats?"

Curious...

I think that 99% of the time the listener would interpret it as 'Why did'. Other uses are clear: 'I'd rather hate cats than dogs'.
