How can I get permanently rid of the new 'Do you want to record a voice message' pop-up that is slowing my posting?

Hi Charles,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. We'll move the message so that it will come up only after you have already clicked on the 'Send message' button. The idea is to encourage our users to record a voice message so they can practice their speaking skills and get advice on how to improve their pronunciation. What do you make of this?

Regards,
Torsten

I hope you're going to explain that to them.

What happens if they do that, does an icon appear in the post? And if I click it, will I hear it through my normal computer sound system?

Hi Charles,

What do you think of the following explanation: How to record a voice message? If you take a look at the following post you will see the icon/player: Slava's voice message

You can hear his recording if you have Java installed and activated.

Thanks,
Torsten

The instructions are longer than this ADHD sufferer can navigate but the recording is neat. Slava says he is a what?

Aha! Good enunciation now, Slava. I heard 'sideman' the first time. Oh, and I love the sonogram, too.

Good heavens! You've got a British accent, Torsten!

The quality of the reproduction is quite good, isn't it? But I suppose that will vary with the speaker's mike and the listener's speakers.
