Hi Everybody, I am quite young and I have a lot of ambitions. My smallest ambition is taking part in the district's exam ( The exam is made to find good students in the district, who is winner in this exam will have a lot of advantages in study in the future ). But my English's teacher didn't choose me. I was very sad, but sader when I don't know why didn't my teacher choose me.Instead of me, she pick another one who is not good in English as me Sad I wish she ( my english's teacher) gave me the reason why. I realize that everything I do has mistakes in it ( nothing I have done is perfect) even when I try my best. What should I do ? Seem like it my destiny or something, when I nearly achieve something, it disappear.
Sad . What should I do to change my destiny ? Please give me some advise. Thanks a lot.

Hi friend,

As Joao mentioned, never give up, and never make your failure certain by being the first to be convinced of it. Another thing, do not say I WILL TRY, instead, say I will do it.

Best wishes

Know thy self

(or "thyself")

If you are an orange, you'll have a tough time convincing others that you're a lemon. So go on being an orange, celebrate your orangeness, and figure out how being an orange can be put to your advantage (legally and ethically, of course).

Just carry on learning and enjoy it! You will never pick up a language if stress and pain are present. And don't believe those language programmes, which promise that you will learn a language in 30 days or 2 weeks. These things take time.
Your English teacher might have his or her own reasons for not choosing you, but just keep on learning and don't give up.
Try and see if you can do an exchange programme at school or uni with an English-speaking country so that you can practise.

Hi Nguyet,

I suggest you simply ask your English teacher what criteria she used to nominate the candidate for the district exam. If those criteria were measurable and qualifiable you will at least know what you can do to be chosen next time. If there were no such criteria then you shouldn't worry too much about your teacher's choice since there can be all kinds of reasons why she chose that other girl over you.

Let me know what you think.
Regards,
Torsten
