You're right - it is a ridiculous claim. It should have been a highly proficient English speaker. I must have somehow lost that phrase during the editing process (I definitely inserted it, as evidenced by the use of 'a' rather than 'an'). I'm sorry for that mistake and now you have pointed it out I can see why you responded as you did. With the correction, I stand by what I said about a very proficient learner using the language more carefully and correctly than the majority of native speakers, though I concede that I am talking about only the 'cream' of learners.
The 'awww' was just me being me! I guess that didn't translate well to the medium either. :(
I love Toronto. I can't get over the architecture... how the very old brick traditional facades sit with the new glass and chrome buildings in such an eclectic way! They exactly match the mixture of cultures to which you refer! _________________ Cheers m' dears! |
