Or,, does it differ depending on the sentences?

Round the corner


as well.

or do they all have different meaning?

For directions you say:

The cafe is on the corner of this street and that street.
Turn left at the corner of---rd and--rd.

For position of something:

A vase stood in the corner of the room.

The shop is around the corner.
'round is just a shortened version of around and used in spoken form, not in written form. English speakers sometimes swallow endings and beginnings of words when speaking fast - sorry!

Yeah, I also though, British use round a lot. 'you wanna come round?' 'round the corner' and stuff.
