hey all, how are you? it has been long time since Isent a message here...
Today,I want to talk about out messenger mohameed...
Who is the Messenger of Islam?

He is Abul-Qasim, Muhammad, the son of Abdullah, the son of Abdul- Muttalib, the son of Hashim. He belonged to the Arab tribe of Quraish whose ancestry traces back to 'Adnaan, one of the children of Ishmael, the Prophet of Allah. Ishmael was the son of Abraham, who was the messenger of Allah, may Allah praise him.
He was born in the year 571 C.E. in the honored city of Makkah. Makkah was the religious center of the Arabian Peninsula, as it housed the Honored Kabah, which was built by Abraham and his son, Ishmael.

Even before he received revelation, he was known amongst his people as 'The Trustworthy', and they would entrust him with their possessions when they intended to go on a journey. He was also known as 'The Truthful" due to what they knew of him from truthfulness. He never lied or acted treacherously. He always desired good for others.

Muhammad (peace be upon him) He received his first revelation at the age of forty and informed his wife, Khadeejah, may Allah be pleased with her, apprehensively:

"Indeed I fear for myself." Khadeejah replied, "No, by Allah! Allah will never humiliate you. Indeed you maintain ties of kinship, you bear the problems of others, you give wealth to those who do not have it, you honor and feed your guests, and you give support in times of true calamity." (Bukhari)

He remained in Makkah for thirteen years thereafter, calling people to believe in the Oneness of Allah. He then migrated to the city of Medina and called its inhabitants to Islam, which they accepted. There, Allah revealed to him the remaining legislations of the religion.

He returned and conquered Makkah eight years after his migration, and died at the age of 63 after Allah revealed to him the entire Quran. All the legislations of the religion were perfected and completed and majority of the Arab nation accepted Islam.

How is your message related to our learning English? Seems like you are trying to promote the ideas of a certain kind of religion. What we believe in here on the forum is primarily our own skills and strengths rather than any religious stories so you might try to find another place for your messages.

Hello Walaa,

In all fairness, this is not the right place to post such topics. A metaphorical ocean lies between the aforesaid topic and this forum's topics. Just to give you an example, (you are a medical student) if you have an exam, and you are supposed to write something about digestive system. Will you write about endocrine system? of course not. For the simple reason that it would be irrelevant and out of topic. The same happened here. This is a place where people meet and discuss things in English, same as your medical school where people come to study medicine. We all respect others beliefs. And you could discuss the same topic written above in a different way that allows other members to be involved. And that's the sole aim of this forum, i.e. learning via discussions.

I read that topic you are talking about, but it was completely different from this one. The old one was a discussion whereas this one seems like teaching. Do you see what I mean?

If I believe in my skills and strenghts such an introductory post canīt annoy me. As I have got Walaaīs point he proudly tried to discuss his believe with others, despite his request to others to add their thoughts seems a bit snappy and I donīt know what I should have answered, though.

Whatīs more: The title of this forum reads " What do you want to talk about?" and not "Post a topic and letīs see what we can blame you for".

So, no reason to shout at the topic creator. Or at least, you should have allowed him to clarify his point of view(reasons) and if it would have been a martial one it would have been early enough to advise him the limits, donīt you think?

Michael, do you understand what Walaa is trying to talk about? How would you sum up the topic she/he started in your own words? You are absolutely right, this topic is called 'What do you want to talk about' and that's why I'd like to know what exactly Walaa wants to talk about. To me she/he is not talking but rather preaching. Do you see the difference?

Yes, I think I can see the difference. Nonetheless, I didnīt consider Walaaīs post a fanatical attempt to influence others here but a request of opinions but his need to talk about his religion. A behave you often may notice when talking to muslims. I myself have known several Muslims who had the same need but never were martial or trying to influence you, just enthusiastic. A state we Western orientated people canīt imagine (I donīt know if itīs better or not).

Seriously, I myself was about to ask Walaa about his intention writing the article but it sounded a bit harsh to me to advise him/her to talk about his messenger at another place or site or what ever.
