Hello Shawn,

Welcome to english-test.net many thanks for your question. What exactly do you mean by saying that you have 'a problem with your writing skills'? How do you know you have this problem? I think to improve your writing skills you can do a number of things the most important of which is to read and analyze English texts. How much do you read every day?

Regards,
Torsten

I really agree with you that to be a good writer, we must write a lot and correct our mistakes. I have ever done that. In addition, I also share my experience to you.
I rarely hard to write series of essays with goal to improve my English skill. So I first wrote some free essay which is my feedbacks after read some article from the website BBC and CNN.
Of course, at that time my writing skill still not good but reading articles from BBC and CNN is so great. Its hard for me to understand those articles clearly. I must read many formal articles and evry article I must read many times until i can get it. Although it seems like a translating skill, even I don't know when my writing skill can be improved rather well.
Now my english is not advance but I think I could translate an BBC article into Vietnamese well and vice versus.
However, my listening and speaking skills are really bad. and I want to improve it with all of you.
Sincerely yours,
Thanh Thuy

Hello, here is something I have written. I would appreciate it if someone could comment on it. On a scale from 1 to 10, 10 being very good, how good (or bad) is my writing? Do I have any talent in writing? Thanks!

Needless to say, with the exams long gone and everyone finally bidding beloved secondary schools farewell, the thought of our future education paths in everyone will be inevitable. Often, well meaning adults will tell us what they think is best of us, the pros and cons of certain courses, future prospects and other insightful opinions and pass experiences. However, ultimately, the choice is rightfully ours to make.

Unlike those who are very sure of the career paths they want for themselves, some, like yours truly, are not as sure. If you ask enough people, you'll find that generally, they'll ask you where your interests lie, what you want to do, what your interests and abilities are and the other appropriate (and typical) questions. Simply put by one adult I spoke to, we're asked to do some..... soul-searching.

After speaking to what felt like countless of adults, again and again, after answering the questions as I've mentioned above, assurance was given of the choice/choices I have made. And oh yes, thank God for such wise grown-ups whose patience knows no bounds. Well, the irony is, the more people I talk to and the more talks I attend, the more confused I get as obviously, everyone will be so passionately promoting the course which they have taken or are involved in.

However, after much deliberation, I, believe it or not, came to a decision. Still, doubt creeps in from time to time.

Hi,

I've made some comments on what you've written:

Needless to say, with the exams long gone and everyone finally bidding FAREWELL TO THEIR beloved secondary schools (farewell), the thought of our future education paths in everyone will be inevitable IT WILL BE INEVITABLE THAT WE WILL BE THINKING OF OUR EDUCATION/CAREER PATHS. Often, well meaning adults will tell us what they think is best FOR us, the pros and cons of certain courses, future prospects and other insightful opinions and PAST experiences. However, ultimately, the choice is rightfully ours to make.

Unlike those who are very sure of the career paths they want for themselves, some, like yours truly, are not SO sure. If you ask enough people, you'll find that generally, they'll ask you where your interests lie, what you want to do, what your interests and abilities are and the other appropriate (and typical) questions. Simply put by one adult I spoke to, (we're)WE ARE asked to do some..... soul-searching.

After speaking to what felt like A countless NUMBER of adults, again and again, after answering the questions as I've mentioned above, assurance was given of the choice/choices I have made.

I don't really want to mark what you have written in terms of a number from 1 to 10. I will say that you obviously have a feel for language and show that you can balance the different comments in a pleasing way. I have made some suggestions with a view to sharpen up the writing and would suggest you continue to practise the craft of writing by describing the experiences you have personally encountered.

How els we learn English beside coming the class??

Learning English considered as the most important thing in practical life. it required in every where as you start your interview for job they ask you about your english Language, especially in Arabic countries

But waht are the best way to lern english ?

In fact there are many ways to learn that important language so you have to shoose your way according to your ability. Some people can use all ways to learn English others can't do that because they don't have more time so they only use one or two ways at most.

First way attending the class. With teachers and classmates can learn more and more since studing in group give you a hard experience and by listening you will be able to speak fluently.

Second way the self study . This way need a highly resolution as it miss the encouragement from others. Therefore one has to push himself as mush as he can and look at those who succeed in their life lonely. If the student want to use this way he has to know how to use the internet correctly since internet considered as a way to learn English as a self study.

Besides the internet reading English books is a good way to learn English. For instance academic book, stories, news papers and even advertisements all that self study way can help students to learn English.

In addition to that ways which depend on reading there is also listening which regard as a good way to learn English. For example, listen to news, narratives, teachers and academic conferences.

( That What I have for today and it is the first essay I try to write but it miss the end because i have lost that paper which have the end)

thanks in advance

hi>>ok >>this is my writting>>
((My Favorite Career Path!))
I would like to be an expert in Applied Information Technology business. This means that my skill development will require the following:

• Technical development
• Business development
• Personal Development

With technical development, I must learn many skills like programming, networking and system design. With business development, I must learn different skills like making a new company, interviewing employees, and selling software and hardwares in the market. With personal development, I must learn how to write reports, make presentations and lead teams to do the jobs for me.

This type of career path will involve getting a degree in Information Technology, attending business courses, taking risks and investing large amount of money. It will also involve competition with other companies. I like this type of career because I don’t want to work for any one when I have many skills. Also because I can work any where with computers, even at home.

Hi, everyone,

I am practising on my essay writing and can you please evaluate my essay? Thanks

DISHONESTY KILLS RELIABILITY

Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any relationship.

This situation is frequently encountered in the personal life of people. The belief, trust, honesty is main factors or considerations in the solid relationship among connecting people. One proverb comes to my mind, that is: Lies have short legs. Lies don't travel far. In this proverb one concern is provided that any lie which is appeared in relationship between friends or couples or any people who are in close contact can bring doubts, hatred that actually will affect on previous status.
The lie afterwards brings another considerable problem in which I am sure. That is dishonesty between close people. I wouldn’t like to hear the lie from another occasional person about my close person because this will influence on my trust to her. Maybe she hides it from for some serious reasons or maybe she was afraid of telling me about it. However sincere people must be frank to each other. Otherwise strong relationship linked to the “bridge” as trust, honesty will be faded away.
Important factor of these instances is of course honesty. Dishonesty is the factor of bearing lies, misunderstanding, and hatred effecting on people’s actions.
