Hello,

I don't wear pants to work.

In the sentence above, 'work' is a verb. I think this means "I don't wear pants when I work at my office." Then, could I use "I don't wear pants at work" instead? What do you think?

Thank you in advance,
sweetpumpkin

.
I don't think work is a verb in your first sentence in normal usage; it means 'I don't wear pants when I go to work.' However, you can certainly use 'at' and the intention of the sentence will be the same.

Thank you for the answer & correction, MM. Until I saw your answer, I'd always thought that the work in "to work" was a verb. Smile
