Well if you have some time check some material on peripheral vision and at general fast reading. Type yogameditation genius and you will find some cool techiniques on reading. Now here are some tips on skyrocketing your reading speed: Procedure of rensponding to the Reading section.
find all the keywords [ repeated words, repeated meaning, words streesed by the author (last word of a sentence, is described, is defined)]
but don't just note them down build a skeleton of the text by drawing lines between them showing their relation and organization: 1->?2 2 reason of 1 , draw a circle with a keyword inside and then lines assonciating it with one detail or even another circle.Spread your drawing so unexpected keywords can be connected with your previous circles
Then once you are confident with your skeleton of organization move on to the questions ( this move is recomended when the text is familiar). Then just move back whenever you are not sure of the answer. But if you are still uncertain, on your notes write the number of the question you are not sure of.
Now probably you will have some minutes left. Use your notes and the review ( upright button at the screen; a table of your answers to each question appears) to focus on the uncertain questions
So my point is don't try to memorize all the details but focus on aswering the questions as better and fast as possible.
Comprehension
If the text is relatively unknown to you. Than once you find the keywords and note them down read the text but with this strategy: while you read try to imagine the picture of the nouns ,verbs,s, adjective and adverbs. But again try to avoid focusing too much on the details. Lets say you are superman and you patrol over an area ; You will not focus your x vision on the rocks and plants and usual pedestrian movement but on important places where problems frequently occur ( points stressed by the author).
Questions and comments are welcome |
