Hello Nick,

Welcome to English-test.net.

Your question is correct and natural exactly as you wrote it.

"When are you going to do the recording?" - correct.

Your second sentence should have a capital 'I' in "I've", when writing, but of course in speaking it would also sound correct.

"I've been waiting a long time for this." - correct. However, since you're talking about the recording, you could replace 'this' with 'it'.

Also, just for your information, when writing, you should always capitalize the first letter of every sentence you write. I noticed you only capitalized the last sentence you wrote in your post, although since that was a question, it should have ended in a question mark instead of a period.

Hope that helps.

Dear friend,
Ive got another sentence that baffles me............

Ex1.By order of somebody/on the orders of somebody.

If you look at the first sentence the word order is not followed by an "s" where as in the second sentences there is.Please tell me the difference between these two sentences.
Thanks.
Gerald
