Hi Alan

Actually I realy enjoy reading your useful and interesting essay about "green", so as far as concerned green environment, I think growth of the industrial world makes green spaces less than ever, and as a human being, we must protect our world by avoiding all kinds of problems that could be affected on the nature, or make make it vanished around us, but also we are able to plan for green tips for a healthier planet, and implement on the ground.
Regards.

Tremendous Essay!
About me i can only say that i am a green person, and i had been hated when some industrialists and builders damage the greeness of nature on the issue of development. Before, i never done anything against it but after reading this essay i will do my duty towards this side and i also elucidate the people as much as i can...

How Green are you?

Green is the color of nature and nature are places that are very closed in my heart.

With the climate changes nowadays due to global warming I think people should start to analyze things. Like how are we? after all the mess we had given to our mother nature. Can we offer anything for the upcoming generation? Is there anything fresh? Questions that sometimes we neglect because we always believe that nothing will happen. And if it happen, do I need to care?

With the time that easily passes by without noticing that they just left nothing but a memory of the past. I believe that this is the right time to give nature some worthiness and also to offer to other generation a quality life to live in. Plant trees to promote greens are just a basic move but also a foundation to start with. Planting trees not just promote fresh air it also promote soil to be intact with this erosions and landslides will be lessened. Promotes shed especially now that sunrays are very harmful to us. With this tree planting we are promoting not to used too much sunblock on our skin. Animals that are soon to extinct will somehow help them to propagate more, as we all know due to weather changes animals are the one that affected most.

Promote recyle instead of throwing your waste . With this you will not just promoting recycling but also promoting jobs to other. Imagine old newspapers that has been developed as vases, bags etc. this are the products of a recycled material thatwas been a hot item in one shopping malls in the Philippines. Biodegradable materials that others developed as a fertilizer or food for the pigs. With this price are much more cheeper than commercially food for the pigs.

I also watched the movie. The whole plotline of it is very, very puzzling.

Extraterrestrials want to save Earth. They say people are destroying it and they want to save it's species its flora and fauna bla bla bla. But they refuse to consider humans as part of this fauna too.

Another obscure thing is what they want to achieve. They want to save Earth as it is now. Why? In long term perspective it's absurd because the planet will change anyway with people of not. Maybe they claim that people are going to destroy the planet totally? But in long term perspective it will inevitably become a desert. This means that extraterrestrials want for some reason save the Earth as it is now for a short period of time and the price is humans.

Extraterrestrials are powerfull and intelligent beyond any doubt. But why then they act like barbarians making a desert from whole earth. They destroy not just people by using for instance some selective bacteria or getting people to some kind of reservation. What they use more resembles nuclear bomb by its devastating action. They inhumanly kill all nature together with people obviously hoping to revive it again.

What do they do to negotiate with people? Nothing at all. Finally when the world is at the edge (on their opinion) they send one negotiator. But the way how he tries to negotiate totally disappoints and puts idea of his total incompetence and helplessness. He rather resembles terminator then negotiator.

The same inconsistensy is in the main hero actions. He doesnt want no harm to any separate human but want to destroy all humanity. He kills a policeman than revives him just to kill once again. What a merciful guy!

And finally what makes him to change his mind? Primitive mother instinct which he sees in humans! As if he never see it before!

In one word extraterrestrials create an impression of highly technoligically developed but dumb, brute and selfish people with no consideration and minimal communicative skills.

NATURE/GREEN IS LIFE #54 (permalink) Mon Jul 13, 2009 10:19 am   NATURE/GREEN IS LIFE

Dear Alan,

your description of "Green" is excellent.

I am very interested in the protection of greenery today. We are facing challenges related to climate changes due to human beeings' destruction of Green. Let us reinforce vulgarisation capacities so that people understand the role of protecting nature.

Well, I think everybody knows what we have to do in order to be "green", the problem is the negligence. Many people have a lot of excuses to avoid helping the planet but the question is: Are those excuses justifiable? The disobedience is one of the reasons why the planet is suffering.

really great article. I can partly agree with it. we should love and save our planet more, but not always it is possible. Sometimes I change my car into walking or becycling, try to use only recycleable things, do not use only onle recycle bin. But only part of people do the same, and what is looking very sad when you see how car, which takes rabbish from people, puts it all in one place.

Hi

What marvellous essay!

I'm a green person too . But the environment which is in danger deserves our attention . This means we must struggle against the warm of earth, polution and so on...

But before all the fearture of green person starts at the front desk of his home. We must keep our around areas clean and out of dirty.
Sometimes, people are fighting againt this just cause and forget to be clean before at their surrounding areas.

This fight starts at the door of every body before to get the international level.

It's true human being is more and more in danger because of the acts of people trying to change the world through the technical and scientific discoveries. At the same times human being is bulding changes this constitute the arm for destroying the world.

If we consider the damage caused by wars and Polutions, humanity his the main responsible of his lost. This fight is not privat every one have to take part.

I'm green
You must be green
he/she is oblige to be green
we all will be green
they have to be green
The earth will benefit of our common fight and be saved.

See you
