I wish I could say that I'm a winner. Especially when it comes to learning English:}. I always find a thousand of reasons, a very justifiable reasons, not to do something that needs more efforts than usually. At the same time, my common sense try to put some shame on me or on my lazy part. It is like a constant battle between common sense and laziness:}. So I am not a winner. I am a winner just in one aspect: I acknowledge that I am not a winner:}}}.

No. I don't want to be a winner. I am the winner. :)))
I think this point of view is the best for our progress.
"You can if you think you can." If you are sure about that.

Take care, dear winners.

Hello! I'm Katerina (Katya) and I can say I'm a winner, because my English is quite good. But that is not spoken English and I'd like to learn more phrases and proverbs and so on to speak colloquial English.
I know that "the best way to master the language is to speak it", so I hope I can have interesting conversations here with you.

Dear Is Azer,

I believe that the most important thing is how you feel: as a winner or not. It's not about the achievements, victories and so on. That's about your ability to be self-confident and to fight further, work harder even if you've become "another one" (as you said) from others' point of view. Anyway, that tomorrow can be such a short day! :)

Take care,
Teysun.

Good morning, Kitos!

Thank you for the compliment!
Actually, I can only expect that this will help me in my future career as a psychologist. ;)

Hi there everyone!

It's really difficult to say "I'm a winner" without back for that statement. I could say "I'm struggling to be a winner". Just time and effort will confirm if I am a winner.

Let's practice together and proof ourselves to be winners!!!

Viator,
I like your "I'm struggling to be a winner". Probably most of us are struggling to be a winner. There are not many of us who are a real winner.

I'd rather agree with Teysun that we are winners when we think we are) If you believe everything possible.)

Hello everyone,

First of all...well, how should I say this....okay, I will spit it out anyway.

TEYSUN, YOU ROCK!

I have always been the one to believe that a person is a winner when a person believes that he or she is a winner. I can recall the day I was a part of an English debating team.

When we could not break into the quarter-finals, it was as if the sky came falling down on us. When we report back to our coach, I said "I'm sorry, coach. After all you've done for us, we couldn't win the tournament". He smiled and said, "Team, regardless wether you managed to take the podium or not, you are a winner to me. I saw you on the prelim and octo, and I swear to God, I saw a winning team doing their thing out there. The only regret I have now is that after all the effort you people took to be a team, you did not realize that you have already been victorious since your first round'. The team bursted into tears. I bursted into tears. For the actual meaning of "winning" is not about the result, but it's in the effort that you put into your endeavour!

Once again,

TEYSUN, YOU ROCK!

Hi
I'm a newbie. I come from Vietnam, a southeast asian country. In my country, English is taught in all level school, but it's not good. A little things you can learn from school. Despite of this, there are a lot of people like to learn English. I'm the one of them. I'd learnt English for 7 years. And so lucky, now i'm confident of my English. Learning English is really a ongoing process. You must try your best every day, in every cases to improve your English. It's my experience to learn English.
I'm not a winner. But i'm on the way to become the winner. I want to share my knowledge, my passion with everybody. So give me your hand, help me if you can.
Thanks so much. Have a good day!

Hi Toresten,
I dare not to describe myself as a winner when it comes to learning English. But I want to be. So I try to respond all of your email lessons. But my English is still in poor stage. I'm very interested in the message by voice in this forum but I can't use it. I can only use internet in my office. But they do not allow to use voice mail. If I have a chance, I will send voice mail.
Best Regards,
maw maw win.
