| Hello, I dont think I am a winner yet. I am working hard to learn English. I learn new words by reading English newspapers and magazines but i forget these new words easily. I check the meanings of new words in the dictionary and try to memorize them but i forget them easily. And I dont get the chance to use the new words in my conversations. plus I dont have anyone with whom I could talk in English in order to improve my English. I am happy to find this site. The people here are friendly and very helpful. I hope I can improve my english in much better way through this website. |

Hi Saidya 81
Welcome to our English-Test-Net. I am happy to note that you want to learn English by knowing more vacabularies. Don't confuse yourselves with more vacabularies, but you can learn English with limited vacabulary, once you practice that you can slowly move to learn new vacabulary. You don't have to read news paper since you had joined in this forum. You can enjoy everthing here like listening/writing/reading. You can find everthing in one if you attend TOEIC Listening Exercises, for knowing meaning you can find two searches (Google Search/Forum Search) when you attend test top of the page, you can find meaning for any words, you don't need to see Dictionary. If you find any word whiich is not familiar to you, you can free to ask our language coach who will help/guide you for your needs.
Through practice only you can improve your English, for that you can attrend test as per Torsten Sir's instructions, he can mould your English to top level, you don't worry. Sir Alan's stories/Essays will also help you to improve our English.
I hope that you will let me know your improvements after few months. Wish you Good luck & all the best.
Thank you

Hi,
Thank you for your kind reply. I think you will have to attend TOEIC LISTENING atleast two or three times so that you can find your improvement. Torsten Sir will find difficult to understand our English since our English is not upto their level. So he takes time to understand it, we should try to write English to make him to listen/understand. I am also not very good in English. So we have to keep trying to improve our Engish only hard work by attending test and giving feed back to the forum..
Thank you & wish you good luck.

Hi Torsten,
After so many months been on line taking English course, I feel that it's helping me a great deal to get back where I used to be years ago. What I'm trying to say. I have live in USA for many years and being around American people and working for American native people I consider myself a lucky or winner, however I left the States and went back home, then I lost a great deal of my English, speaking listening and mostly writing. Since I came back to USA a few years ago I have try my very best to improve my English. In fact I have attended to school with other foreign student and I did great, but I didn't continue going to school because living here in New York and being around American people did help me to understand and speak. My problem is my writing, and by all means I would like to express myself much better, just like a real American. I'm ambitious I want to move forward. So how do you feel about me? am I a winner or not? you as my teacher can analyze better than me. But how do I feel, well honesty I do fell that I'm a winner. I'm not trying to sound snob, not at all! Sincerely,

Hi Rasario,
I am very eager to know your birthday to enable me to send you "Birthday Greetings". Please note that Sir Torsten has yet to send reply to so many learners like us. I think still he is on business tour that is why he has not yet responded any of his learners. I hope he will send his reply after his returns from business tour, I think he has not even carried his laptop with him, otherwise he would have repiled atleast to very important learner like you.
So you don't worry about progress, your goal is towards winner of English, you are very lucky to be with Amercian people and speaking English, that itself is gift for you. For Writting skill you have to read good writers books like Alan's Grammar and attending test on the forum. You can improve your writing skill when teaching to your children by reading their lessons there you can learn vacabulary and sentence formation(simple sentence). These all my opinion for your questions, don't mistake me.
Wish you good luck
Thank you

Ps.
